It has a sunny sheltered position facing south, is set back from a quiet lane and stands alone. High Mains Cottage has its own large garden and is perfectly placed for exploring the rugged beauty of the Ayrshire coast. The cottage is about 200 years old, whitewashed with a traditional slate roof and has been beautifully restored. There is a colourful cottage garden, with garden furniture and a barbecue.

There is a large attractive country kitchen, which is well equipped for keen cooks, and the sitting room has a cosy atmosphere with open log fire.  All three bedrooms are well decorated and there is both a bath and shower room.
